What makes you a tough contender in the ASPCA $100K Challenge?
The WCAC family aims at changing the public’s perception of what a “typical” animal control agency does by stepping outside of the box and trying new programs and tactics, building our team rapport in the process, getting community support, and ultimately improving the animal welfare and strengthening the human-animal bond in our community by educating and saving lives!
Describe your shelter in 3 words
Compassionate. Proactive. Energetic.
What is the most important message about animals you’d like to share with your community?
The human-animal bond is one of the most important bonds in life; our agency is here to create and help strengthen those bonds!
How would you use $100,000?
We would utilize grant funds to help continue the promotion of saving lives in our community by offering remote, economical or free spay/neuter events in underserved rural areas; improving educational signage at our main adoption center; increasing and funding creative off-site adoption events that will draw in members of the public and increase our adoption rates.
