Let’s hear it for Canyon County Animal Shelter, Humane Society for Greater Savannah and Humane Society of South Mississippi for getting the most votes and increasing lives saved by more than 300! All three finalist agencies have done a lot to get people involved in saving more lives. Now the grants committee has some tough work ahead to choose the Community Engagement Award winner to be announced on September 30.
Over 75,600 votes were logged by the end of Community Engagement voting on August 31. Finalists will be determined based on having earned the most votes AND having saved at least 300 more lives as compared to the same period in the prior year.
With just 5 more days to go in the Challenge, contestants continue to feature creative and fabulous events to get more animals into new homes. With so many prizes available, there are lots of opportunities to win but clearly the biggest motivator of all is another life saved.
